I have been playing around with NotebookLM recently and tried a small experiment: what would happen if I gave it only a few documents about myself and asked it to generate a podcast?
I uploaded three documents as the source material:
- my curriculum vitae
- my research statement
- my teaching dossier
These are the same documents I normally prepare for academic applications. Instead of writing something new, I wanted to see whether NotebookLM could synthesize them into a narrative automatically.
The idea was simple: treat these documents as the only knowledge base and let the system generate a short podcast-style summary. The result was surprisingly coherent. It pulled together research themes, teaching philosophy, and career background into something that actually sounds like a conversation about my work.
So here it is.
